What is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a healing modality where sound is used to give your body and mind a chance to slow down and support health. Sound has been used for millennia as a way to connect with the spiritual world, and for healing rituals. The modern take on sound therapy incorporates sound from voice and instruments tuned to specific frequencies to bring your body into a profoundly relaxed and harmonious state. This is achieved when your brain waves go from active beta mode (alert, action-driven, thinking) to alpha (calm and creative alertness), theta (deep meditative and dreamlike), or delta waves (like when you are in deep sleep). It is not music but sound vibrations, and every sound bath is a different experience.
What to expect
It is normal to experience:
- A shift of energy in your body
- Deep relaxation
- A flow of creativity or inspiration
- Trance-like introspection
- Falling asleep
Note: Depending on your state of mind, you could also experience some anxiety or an urge to cry as your body tries to release stagnant energy.
One on one (one hour)
$75 or $125 for two participants
These sessions take place at my women’s only space. Outdoor experiences can be arranged depending on the season and weather. I use empyrean crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, ocean drum, chimes, bells, gong, and other instruments to create a tapestry of sound to help you move stagnant energy, awaken your inner wisdom , and invite divine peace.
